Where a Customer decides what information is placed in a workspace and why it is processed, the Customer generally acts as the controller or Data Fiduciary and Simplifyte processes that data on the Customer's behalf to provide the Service.

Business customers remain responsible for their own notices, permissions, lawful instructions and use of personal data in the Service.

07

India data residency

Customer Data is hosted in India: Simplifyte's core production application databases, Customer file/object storage and production backups are hosted on infrastructure located in India. Simplifyte does not host core Customer Data on foreign production data servers.

Certain service providers used for ancillary functions such as payments, transactional communications, messaging, analytics, security or support may process limited account, transaction, communication or technical information as necessary to provide those services. Use of such providers does not, by itself, change the hosting location of Simplifyte's core Customer Data.

These safeguards include measures such as encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, restricted administrative access, logging, backups and security monitoring appropriate to the Service.

11

Retention and deletion

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, the applicable Customer agreement, legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution and legitimate business records.

Customer Data is generally retained while the relevant workspace or subscription remains active, subject to plan-specific functionality and retention rules. After a workspace is deleted, expires or is terminated, Customer Data may remain for a limited period in backups or recovery systems before being overwritten or deleted through normal retention cycles, unless longer retention is required by law or an applicable agreement.
